  2. A is for Astronaut. Astronauts are people who travel in space. A is also for Neil Armstrong. He was the first man to walk on the moon.

  3. B is forbomber. When you see this letter on a plane, you know it is a bomber. C is for Cosmonaut. Cosmonaut is a name for Russian Astronauts.

  4. D is for duck . A duck was the first creature to go up in a hot air balloon.

  5. E is for Extra terrestrials. Extra terrestrials is a long name for aliens.

  6. F is for fighter. When you see this letter on an airplane it means it is a fighter. G is for glider. A glider is an airplane without an engine.

  7. H is for helicopter. A helicopter has propellers. A helicopter lifts straight up and down.

  8. I is for the international space station. It is called the ISS.

  9. J is for jets. Jets are planes without propellers.

  10. K is for Kitty Hawk. Kitty Hawk called Kill Devil Hill is where the Wright brothers first took off.

  11. L is for liftoff. Watch the space shuttle go up!

  12. M is for monkey . A monkey was the first animal to go into space.

  13. N is for NASA. NASA is the agency that tracks space vehicles.

  14. O is for Orville Wright. Orville Wright was the first man to fly in an airplane.

  15. P is for pilot. A pilot is someone who drives a plane.

  16. Q is for questions. We found answers to many of our questions when we did our projects.

  17. R is for rocket. Rockets are vehicles that travel in space.

  18. S is for the spitfire. A spitfire is a army plane. S is also for satellite. A satellite is something that twirls in space to help.

  19. T is for take off. This is when an airplane leaves the ground.

  20. U is for unidentified flying objects. Is this an unidentified flying object?

  21. V is for velocity. Velocity is how fast a space ship or airplane travels.

  22. W is for the Wright brothers. The Wright brothers built and flew the first airplane. Their first flight lasted 12 seconds.

  23. X is for eXplore. Yes, we’re cheating a little with this letter.

  24. Y is for Yuri Gagarin. Yuri Gagarin was the first man to go into space. He was from the Soviet Union.

  25. Z is for the zeppelin. A zeppelin looks like a blimp.
