The contract • Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship support lasting up to one year • Three year contract – no starts after March 2013

The service shall … • Provide pre-Apprenticeship training to participants (for up to 26 weeks) in order to prepare them for an Apprenticeship • Provide support for a 26 week period once participants are in paid employment and are undertaking an Apprenticeship.
The activity … • Early identification of participants that are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET through engagement with schools, colleges, Connexions and other relevant referral agencies. • Undertaking intensive information, advice and guidance (IAG) to ascertain whether a pre-Apprenticeship programme is appropriate for the participant over and above that provided through Connexions or equivalent providers / agencies.
