Status of L-mode Database: Data Cleaning and ITER's Hydrogen Plasma Program

Ongoing efforts to clean up data from archived versions of the L-mode database. Solutions agreed for D3D, DIII, CMOD; awaiting confirmation for ASDEX, JET, FTU, PDX, PBXM. ITER's hydrogen plasma program status and actions needed for hydrogen/deuterium shots analysis.

  1. Status of L-mode database (F. Imbeaux) • Ongoing task on cleaning up some data (WMHD and WDIA) from archive versions of the DB : • D3D, DIII, and CMOD : solution agreed • ASDEX, JET, FTU, PDX, PBXM : solution to be confirmed by data providers (ongoing) • The other machines (TEXTOR, TSUPRA, TFTR, T10) were not affected • Scalings are not affected

  2. Status of L-mode database (F. Imbeaux) • ITER operation in L mode, hydrogen plasma : • No clear request from ITER yet (physics program in Hydrogen ?) • Action : check existence of ohmic / L mode shots in Hydrogen in present tokamak DB / L mode DB • Find possible paired Hydrogen/Deuterium shots ? • Revisit ohmic / L mode scalings and provide estimates for ITER • Link with Profile DB / transport studies of L mode shots
