  3. “Staying Current” Defined Keeping up on the latest developments in technology, economics, politics, labor, market trends and globalization, as well as industry news (the area you work in i.e. healthcare, education, culinary) Goal is to understand the impact on the business world in general and industry and organizations specifically

  4. Why “stay current”? • Savvy employees know the importance of staying abreast of current events in order to learn as much as they can about the world around them to develop the skills that will advance their career.

  6. Critical Thinking • Provides employees with the skill to solve potential workplace issues by providing them with the ability to: • Think independently • Analyze situations • Compare and contrast potential situations • Formulate potential conclusions
