  2. What does PALS do? Open House Hospitality Teacher Discretionary Fund Principal Discretionary Fund Document Cameras/Smartboards Third Grade T-Shirts Ribbons and Candy for Field Day Framing of Student Artwork Family Movie Night Family Bingo Night Family Night at Skateworld Donations for Needy Families Volunteer Luncheon Field Trip Funding (when needed) Teacher Luncheon Teacher Appreciation Gifts Fun Fair

  4. Pals Provides Volunteers for the following & more! • Kindergarten Orientation • Kindergarten Screening • Enrichment Activities • Classroom Parties • Market Day • Family Nights/Fun Fair

  5. How Does PALS get Money for the School? • Fun Fair – By far, this is our biggest fund raiser. • Gingerbread Shoppe – Not seen as a real “money-maker” but more as a service for the kids. • Book Fair – Most often, PALS uses our profits from Book Fair to purchase more books through Scholastic for the school library or classrooms. • Box Tops – A great money-maker for the school.

  6. PALS does not do: • Entertainment Book Sales • Cookie Dough Sales

  7. 2011 Fun Fair Over 150 Volunteers Over 10,000 tickets sold - Over $11,000 raised

  8. Current Budget • PALS currently has $32,000 in both checking and savings accounts. Most of this money is already tapped to be used in several ways: • Documents Cameras for each classroom - $5,000 • Additional Book Room – $12,000 • Several End-of-Year Events - $1,200 • AR/STAR/Study Island - $3,500 • Needy Families - $400
