Rising to the challenge • Our network is still leading the way as your needs evolve • We have the largest and most established smartphone base in the UK • We use our extensive expertise to deliver the best possible customer experience • Every day we test against a range of factors and customer demand drives our plans • We’re building an intelligent ‘multi-layered’ network. • Using lots of different types of technology and cells to give the best possible experience

Partnering to deliver for our customers • Working with Vodafone • We have a groundbreaking network infrastructure sharing partnership called Cornerstone • We have hundreds of shared sites across the UK and have already added more this year than in the whole of 2010 • Sharing resources means we can rollout our network more quickly in the places our customers tell us they need it most • It also reduces the impact our network has on the environment

  5. Always investing • We promise to keep spending • During 2011, we’ll invest around £500 million in our network. That’s more than £1 million per day • We’ll • Add 750+ new sites across the UK • Upgrade 2000+ to fast 3G 900 • Upgrade 80% of our 3G sites to be HSPA+ ready • And always where you need it most • We’ll continue to focus on the places that matter most to our customers, such as railway stations, motorways, sporting venues, shopping centres and special events

Tried and tested Ofcom report puts us at number one for Mobile Broadband performance By regularly testing your actual experience in a range of ways, we can we invest where it’s needed most, build ahead of demand and deliver the service you need. Independent testing by Metrico shows we have the best overall data experience in the UK – including web page download success & speed Independent testing by SIRODA found we have the fastest web page download speed in 12 out of 13 key UK cities

Our commitment to you • We will never knowingly mislead about coverage or network speeds • We have robust processes in place to continually support you • Network Management Centre - manages and monitors the network around the clock • We categorise incidents dependent upon their severity • Over 200 local engineers working 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to keep our network running • If things go wrong, we’ll do everything we can to get things up and running as quickly as we can

Delivering innovation - fast 3G 900 First to switch on new fast 3G 900MHz network • After extensive testing, we’ve started reusing the 900MHz spectrum for 3G – meaning more capacity and faster speeds • Already launched in a number of cities including Birmingham, Bradford, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sheffield with others to follow • In areas where it’s been turned on – it’s delivered a 50% increase in network capacity and 30% faster downloads • Rollout continues throughout 2011 and into the years ahead

Delivering innovation – O2 wifi Seamless, fast and free internet for everyone, in venues across the country • A UK wide network of Wi-Fi hotspots • Simple, secure and free to everyone • Over 14,000 hotspots by the end of 2013 - rollout has already begun • Seamless experience • Auto sign up for all O2 customers with Wi-Fi devices by the end of 2011
