Who is AITC Canada? • Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) Canada is a consortium of provincial and territorial Agriculture in the Classroom organizations that provide a national network for member organizations and partners to work together in order to enhance the knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of agriculture through national initiatives, sharing of information and educational resources, development of educational programs aimed at enhancing agricultural classroom literacy, and coordination of professional development opportunities. AITC Canada also plays a role in providing a national voice and identity for the combined provinces and partner organizations.

Key Accomplishments • Common strategic focus & direction established • Stronger inter-provincial relationships • Executive Committee formed • AITC Canada website updated to reflect national image • Work completed on key governance issues • Benchmark statistics, reflecting national reach, identified • 2ndCanadian Agricultural Literacy Week collectively delivered across Canada

  7. Partnership Opportunities AITC Canada is currently seeking partners that also strive to enhance the knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of agriculture in everyday life by developing: Agriculture Awareness through Education

Your funding support will enable AITC Canada to enhance its’ capability&capacity to: • Act as national voice&identity for AITC Canada • Offer increased opportunities to positively influence future beneficiaries about agriculture • Expand best practice provincial initiatives &resources to a national scale • Identify&manage national projects • Develop curriculum linked educational resources for teachers& students • Deliver resources&programs to a national audience • Coordinate networking & collaborative opportunities

In return, initial partners will be: • Recognized on AITC Canada website • Offered 1stopportunity to collaborate on development of national educational resources/programs • Invited to participate in annual national networking event • Asked to provide input to AITC Canada governance& direction • Provided 1st opportunity to become Founding Partners

  10. Funding support we are seeking… $10,000 per year for a period of 2 years
