  2. 7.1 Authentikasi • Masing masing Subscriber pada GSM/DCS PLMN memiliki SIM Card • Data yang disimpan dalam SIM Card: • IMSI ( International Mobile Subscriber Identity) • Ki (Individual Scauthentication key) • Algorithms - ( A3 dan A8) • Data ini juga disimpan dalam AC , yang digunakan untuk penghitungan parameter authentication ( triples)

  5. AC selalu menghasilkan beberapa triples per mobile subscriber, yang akan dilanjutkan ke VLR melalui HLR , jika permintaan juga dilakukan. Selama authentikasi , VLR mengirim RAND ke MS. SIM menggunakanan informasi ini untuk menghitung SRES , yang kemudian dikirimkan kembali ke VLR untuk perbandingan.

  7. MS menginisialisasikan lokasi up date • Prosedur ini hanya berlaku jika tidak ada panggilan aktiv pada saat saat tertentu.

  8. Jika dianggap mobile subscriber dari HLR Munich menggunakan kartu SIM nya dalam area MSC. MS tidak menemukan LAI dalam kartu SIM , untuk itu permintaan lokasi update menggunakan IMSI
