  1. Messing with Matches The story of Alex and Jack Alex and Jack are friends. One day Alex spots his mum’s lighter in her bag. What happens next is up to you. Click on the green arrows to read the story and make your choice. What will happen to Alex and Jack?   2. Alex finds a lighter in his mum’s bag. What should he do? Leave it there Take it

  3. Alex and Jack play football together. They have fun and are safe from harm.

  4. Alex and Jack play football together. After a while Alex gets bored.

  5. Alex remembers the lighter in his pocket.

  6. Jack, look what I took out of my mum’s bag. Cool! What are you going to do with it? Let’s light a fire; it will be fun to see what happens.

  7. No Alex, it is dangerous we could get hurt. Come on, it will be really good fun! Alex still wants to play with the lighter Alex thinks about what Jack says.

  8. He is right, it would be fun but someone could get badly hurt. Mum would be really upset.

  9. Alex puts the lighter back in his pocket to take home and give back to his mum.

  10. Alex and Jack play football together. They have fun and are safe from harm.

  11. Alex tries to make Jack play with the lighter. Don’t be silly; a small fire can’t hurt anyone. Don’t be such a chicken. Jack still decides he doesn’t want to play with the lighter. Jack decides to play with the lighter.

  12. This is going to be awesome… Alex is right. This will be cool and it’s not going to hurt anyone.

  13. Alex and Jack set the newspaper alight.

  14. Alex goes and sets the newspaper on fire by himself.

  15. Jack is worried about Alex, should he tell his dad? Jack tells his dad. Jack doesn’t tell his dad.

  16. Alex, stop! You are going to get hurt.

  17. Alex goes and sets the newspaper on fire by himself and only Jack knows what he is doing. Alex could get badly hurt.
