  1. The Importance of Hiring a Project Manager for your Commercial Project Having a project manager is so important when you are taking on a big project because there are so many things to think about when doing a commercial renovation. In addition to obtaining all of the necessary licenses and permits, a general contractor will help to effectively manage the many relationships that are involved with a project, including architects, interior designers, project consultants, IT consultants, MEP engineers, sub-code officers and general contractors. Each person involved is likely to have a differing opinion in regards to what is most important for a project, but a project manager can offer an objective viewpoint and help all parties involved to stay on the same page. When there are so many people involved in a project, it can seem overwhelming, but an experienced and proficient project manager will make sure that all of those relationships are managed properly. In addition to managing the relationships of all of the people involved in a project, a project manager also will make sure that each of the people involved stay on top of providing accurate reports and information and that the information is accessible to the client. There is nothing more stressful during a construction job than not knowing what is happening and by utilizing a full service design build company, you will be provided with a project manager who will make sure that you are kept in the loop on how things are going and if there are any issues that may need to be addressed. The benefits of a project manager go beyond managing relationships and providing the client with information though. Project managers are invaluable to a project since they keep track of everyone’s schedules, budgets, resources, legal issues, and risk factors. They will help to keep the project on track so it will finish on time and on budget. APEX Design Build 9550 W.
