Orientation-Objective You will… • Learn about the great resources and services available to you in your studies at Dalhousie-short or long-term • Get essential information about fees, various deadlines and key policies • Become familiar with the university campus, including the location of important services, student space, library and IT services • Meet some key members of the university community including student leaders, volunteers, student service professionals

  11. Courses • Numbers 1000-level classes are introductory 2000-4000 level classes are advanced 5000-9000 level are Graduate level (with some exceptions) Credit Hours-examples only • 0.06 credit hours = 1 full credit ( x/y)0.03 credit hours = 1/2 credit x or Y0.00 credit hours = no credit

  39. Autumn Season Leaves turn golden colours -cool mornings and warm by the afternoon and cool nights -dress in layers; sweater, fleece, wind jacket…

  40. Summer Summer extends from June to September. August is the warmest month with an average daily high temperature of 22 oC and a nighttime low of 13 oC. Many people wear shorts and T-shirts and at night they might wear a light-weight jacket or sweater.
