How it works • Populations designated by Structure are in H-W equilibrium • Real population structure leads to LD and departures from H-W • Can handle linked markers with linkage map • Uses MCMC • Starts from a random configuration • Steps through parameter space to estimate the probability that predicted “K” = actual “K”
