Program • 1st day: Setting the stage • The UH model: reducing health disparities and improving health (new or existing science?) • The UH history of the movement to address health disparities in the urban context: mobility, urban habits, air pollution, climate change, drugs, , food security versus nutritional security (all in once) • Urban crisis X health crisis: accelerated urbanization in developing countries

  5. Program • 2nd day: Evidence • Setting the tools: urban health metrics • Beyond the health indicators: addressing urban health to achieve the MDG and others indicators • The importance of local data – accumulated experiences (Observatories) • Climate change and urban health: metrics

Program • 3rd day: Action • Translating data into action: reducing health and urban disparities • Remodeling the urban space with human and social responsibility: intersectorial intervention • Moving safety: urban accessibility and mobility – Road Safety • Health policies related to UH: governance models • Building capacity: urban health training in teaching, research and service (standards or best practices) • Challenges and implications • The future: the ideal city
