Research basedfindings • HS Students who take an AP exam, regardless of performance, are more likely to earn a “B” average in their 1st year of college • Students who take AP courses and exams are much more likely to graduate in 4 years Advanced Placement Law (PL 91) • Indiana Colleges/Universities must award credit for AP Exam Scores of 3 or higher • May require a score of 4 or higher to apply credit to a specific major AP Performance and College Outcomes

Class of 2016 & Beyond Complete one of the following: • Earn 4 credits in 2 or more AP courses and take corresponding AP exams • Earn 6 verifiable transcripted college credits in dual credit courses from priority course list • Earn two of the following: - A minimum of 3 verifiable transcripted college credits from the priority course list - 2 credits in AP courses and corresponding AP exams • Earn a combined score of 1750 or higher on the SAT critical reading, mathematics and writing sections and a minimum score of 530 on each • Earn an ACT composite score of 26 or higher and complete written section Classes of 2014-2015 Complete one of the following: • Complete AP courses (4 credits) and corresponding AP exams • Earn a combined score of 1200 or higher on the SAT critical reading and mathematics • Score a 26 or higher composite on the ACT • Complete dual high school/college credit courses from an accredited postsecondary institution (6 transferable college credits) • Complete a combination of an AP course (2 credits and corresponding exam) and dual high school/college credit course(s) from an accredited postsecondary institution (3 transferable college credits) Core40 With Academic Honors Diploma – AP/Dual Credit Component

Refer to the Dual Credit brochure for the most recent information. • The majority are $25 per credit hour. • Students on free and reduced lunch qualify for fee waivers for most courses. • Textbook costs are more expensive because they must be purchased. • Project Lead The Way • Biomedical courses earn credit by examination. Course fees are paid only if student qualifies. • Engineering courses can earn free dual credit through Ivy Tech. Fees will vary at other universities upon full-time enrollment as a college student.
