Describe the movement of particles in solids, liquids, gases, and plasma states.S8P2d. Describe how heat can be transferred through matter by the collisions of atoms (conduction) or through space (radiation), in a liquid or gas, current will facilitate the transfer of heat (convection). WORK SESSION: Complete Notes: Conservation of Energy Gizmo: Conduction and Convection (Media Center) CLOSING: Discuss the conclusions of the Gizmo. HOMEWORK: Study for Quiz to be given on Tuesday, February14, 2012.

Teacher will give strategies to be use when taking a test. CLOSING: List some important steps to remember when taking a CRCT test. HOMEWORK: Study your vocabulary for the quiz to be given on Monday, February 13, 2012
