  3. Roster Limitations • Multi-Division Rules • Playoff Eligibility - Game roster sheets / 6 games • Player Releases – Releasing captain must confirm; Feb. 21 Deadline • Forfeited Games - Teams can now start with five players • Medical Notes – Only operated players

  4. New Rules and Updates • 1. Injury Timeout Rule: • A team Timeout must be called if an injured player does not want to leave the field for one play. This rule would NOT apply in the last five plays. This would be a new rule in Section 3. • 2. Teams can start the game with five players • Teams will have the option of starting with five players OR the game clock starts at game time with a score of 6-0, and every 5 minutes the present team is awarded another 6 points. • 3. Illegal Forward Pass • The non- offending team can now take the result of the play, or go back to PLS AND Loss of down. • 4. Offside/False Starts • A player moving towards the LOS who goes past the ball before it is snapped will be called for a false start, and the play will be whistled dead. A flinch (a movement forward) will be allowed, if the player gets back before the ball is snapped. This will eliminate the long offside where a player can get back to the LOS after running downfield.

  5. Rules cont’d • 5. Diving Rule • “The ball will be spotted where the officials judge an advantage is being gained.” In addition, a blatant dive will be a UR penalty. • 6. Application of OFF/DEF penalties behind the LOS from the LOS • We will now be applying both offensive and defensive penalties called behind the LOS, FROM the LOS, e.g. flag guarding by the offense or holding by the defense. • 7. Rusher Obstruction Rule: • a) Rusher loses protection switching sides, no longer a penalty; • b) Rusher has complete straight-line immunity; the snapper must get out of the way and CANNOT stay stationary. • c) the rusher getting protection must declare to the offensive team, if asked. • 8. Unnecessary Contact Penalty • This would be called when a UR is not warranted but there was excessive contact. The penalty would be five yards from PLS or Point of Foul, 1D. The offending player does not have to leave the field for three plays. • 9. Tossing of Flag Belt will be penalized

  6. Discipline • Referee/ Player interaction • Disciplinary Committee • Suspensions in weeks • Written warnings • OC/UR - An accumulation of 4 (individually) or of 6 (combined) will lead to a one-game suspension. Followed by an additional game for any two to follow.

  7. Finances • Registration Fee is $1579.99 + tax ($1800 total) • Final payment due date: January 29th. • Late fees

  8. Playoffs March 24/25; March 31/ April 1; April 7; April 14/April 15 (Finals) All Star Games: April 22 (Lachine)
