Program Changes Since Previous IBHE report • National • Medical Laboratory Scientists • Campus • Fall 2007 hired CLS Program Director • Add another hospital affiliate • Modify BIO 3100 and 3101 by melding together to become BIO 3120 • Replace business elective with histology • Hospital grades incorporated into EIU transcript • Electronic Writing Portfolio submissions

  4. Job Description • Perform analysis of body fluids, cells and cell products • Identify abnormal blood cells • Drugs and toxic agents (anthrax, etc…) • Bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms • Match blood for transfusions • Prepare specimens for examination
