  3. Social Policy Research Services • Strong partnership flavour • Joint oversight • $1.5 million per annum • Leverage over topics being studied by researchers • Around 60 projects commissioned since 2001

Importance of Data • FaCS heavily involved in commissioning new data and using existing data • Longitudinal survey data • Longitudinal administrative data • Great way to get the research community interested • Chance to break new ground • Easy pathway to publication • Many SPRS projects explore policy implications of these data
