Conclusions • Major Findings • The spike in trucks registered in the ’90s was due to SUVs’ classification as trucks • Automobiles/passenger cars travel the most vehicle- and passenger-miles • Energy intensity of vehicles (measure in Btu/passenger-km) have been in a small downtrend since the ’60s
