  2. Colossians 2:16-17, KJV16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moons, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body isof Christ.

  8. Shaul’s message:The festivals are all prophetic shadow pictures of things yet to come.[The apostles still kept the feasts]

  9. Spring Feasts:Passover 1 (event), ULB 7Fall Feasts:Sukkot 7, Shemini Atzeret 1(mirror image of the shadow picture)

  10. Spring Feasts:Passover: The bride is freed from bondage.Pentecost: Torah given as a bridal contract

  11. Fall Feasts:Yom Teruah: The Bridegroom comes for his bride.Yom Kippur: The wedding. The bride turns away from the world, to focus on her Husband.

  12. Fall Feasts:Sukkot: The bride and Groom go to the Groom’s father’s house.Shemini Atzeret: Tarry service, held over(Not Simchat Torah)

  13. Shemini Atzeret is a separate festival.The sukka and lulav are not used.(Why?)

  14. עֲצֶרֶת OT:6116 `atsarah or `atsereth; from OT:6113; an assembly, especially on a festival or holiday:

  15. OT:6113 `atsar (עצר); a primitive root; to enclose; by analogy, to hold back; also to maintain, rule, assemble:KJV - be able, close up, detain, fast, keep (self close, still), prevail, recover, refrain, reign, restrain, retain, shut (up), slack, stay, stop, withhold (self).

  23. Day 1 symbolizes the creation?B’reisheet (Genesis) 1:1-21 In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was made formless and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep.

  24. Eighth day symbolizes the Tarry service.

  25. Vayiqra (Leviticus) 22:26-2726 And Yahweh spoke to Moshe, saying: 27 "When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall be seven days with its mother; and from the eighth day and thereafter it shall be accepted as an offering made by fire to Yahweh.(Earth will be burned up.)

  37. Exodus and Deuteronomy, date of the festival is given with regards to the agricultural season and the harvests. (The tithe is mentioned in Exodus and Deuteronomy, because the tithe was historically timed to the animal and vegetable harvests.)

  38. Leviticus gives thedates of the festivals with regards to the calendar dates.(e.g., “on the fourteenth day of the month….”)

  39. Hitgalut (Revelation) 14:17-1915 And another messenger came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.”
