  1. ANNIE JR. Interest Meeting January 13th, 2010

  2. Applications • Applications due January 21, 2010 to homeroom teacher. NO LATE APPLICATIONS! • Included in the application is a Student/Parent Contract • Must have at least a ‘C’ average in all classes to participate • Once application is turned in, teachers will complete a recommendation form

  3. Student/Parent Contract • Must inform Directors if you will miss a rehearsal • If absent from school and will miss rehearsal, please call 378-5001 or email: Ruthann.pyle@appo.k12.de.us or gina.robinson@appo.k12.de.us • 2 unexcused absences from rehearsals will result in removal from the show. • Can be removed from show due to missed rehearsals, late pick-ups, and/or behavior

  4. Auditions • January 26th- Auditions for 8th grade and 7 White will be from 2:15-4:15. • January 28th- Auditions for 7 Blue and 6th grade from 2:15-4:15. • Once students audition, they may get picked up or they can wait until 4:15 to ride the activity bus home. • Auditions are closed to all students and parents. Parents are welcome to wait in the cafeteria, but not the auditorium.

  5. Audition Format • Students will check in at the auditorium and get their audition number. • Next they will report to the cafeteria to wait for their audition. • Students will be called in to the auditorium in groups of 10 • Students will sing and then read their lines.

  6. Audition Songs • Girls wishing to audition for the part of Annie, will sing “Maybe” • Girls wishing to audition for the part of an orphan will sing “Hard Knock Life” • Girls wishing to audition for Ms. Hannigan, Grace, or any other female part will sing “Little Girls” • Boys will sing “ I Don’t Need Anyone But You”

  7. Audition Lines • Girls will read for one of the orphans, Annie, Grace or Miss Hannigan. • Boys will read for Warbucks or Rooster. • You need to be prepared to read for any part. • Act! Don’t just read!

  8. Important Dates • Cast List will be posted by January 29th • Rehearsals will begin February 1st. All cast members must attend. • Rehearsals will be held Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2:15-4:10. The times may change as we get closer to the show. • Not all cast members will be at each rehearsal • Students must have a way home from rehearsals and must be picked up on time. There is a bus available Tues and Thurs.

  9. Show Dates • Dress rehearsals on May 3rd and 4th- All Cast Members must attend • Shows: • May 6th (Thursday): 6:30P.M. • Call time: 5:00 P.M. • May 7th: 7:00 P.M. • Call time: 5:30 P.M • May 8th: 7:00 P.M • Call time: 5:30 P.M.
