  3. SeniorNet’s Learning Centers offer a special opportunity to work in a group setting to create your life story. Through a 6-8 week class, we hope you take this opportunity to enjoy recalling life’s moments, thinking about your future, and saying what matters most to your loved ones.

  4. LifeBio’s system offers these unique things to the SeniorNet community: • LIFETIME membership to LifeBio.com. • Step-by-step training in a classroom setting on the idea of telling and sharing life stories AND how to use LifeBio.com. This environment helps people to write their memoirs quickly and easily. • Access to print your own copy of LifeBio’s Memory Journal to write instead of type your life story answers. This works well when you are away from your computer.

  5. Your privacy and security is our number #1 concern: LifeBio stores SeniorNet student information privately on secure servers in a Microsoft SQL Database. LifeBio has never had an unauthorized party access client data. SeniorNet students' have a secure and unique login and password when using LifeBio.com. Data is backed up regularly so that information is not lost. Backing up your stories and memories to the network, as well as off–site storage, can help ensure your story is kept safe and is not lost.

  6. HOW TO SIGN UP: Your local SeniorNet location can assist you in signing up for an upcoming “Writing Your Life Story” class. After registration and beginning the class, you will be assigned a Member ID and Password. This will be your LIFETIME membership information for LifeBio.com.

  7. To begin, go to http://seniornet.lifebio.com and type in the Member ID and Password assigned to you.

  8. It’s easy to start your LifeBio. After registering for the class and becoming a member, enter your Member ID and Password. Click on Start a new LifeBio now.

  9. Next…Enter your name and other info to start your story. Also, notice the way to navigate through the FOUR sections of questions at the top of the page.

  10. Now it’s time to answer the life story writing questions…This makes it easy!With over 250 questions to choose from, you can easily answer what YOU want to answer while avoiding topics that you would rather not write about.

  11. There are many questions about each topic. For example, in the “Mother” topic, there are 14 questions to answer. Below the text box there are letters a, b, c, d, e…. Containing More Questions About Mother. Just answer what YOU want to answer.

  12. As a LifeBio member, you can return as often as you wish to add more to your stories and memories! Just come back and use your private member ID and password to access your own LifeBio.

  13. Perhaps you have pictures that you’d like to add to your story. Just add a digital picture OR scan your old pictures so you can add them to your LifeBio. Pictures really enhance your story.

  14. You can even instantly preview your life story—at any point while you are writing. Even after answering just ONE question! You can change fonts, change font size (up to 18 point fonts), and add a border to the page. Print as often as you wish.

  15. Previews of your writings can be seen on screen and printed. LifeBio wraps text around your pictures, builds the table of contents, and creates a ready-to-print story.
