  2. TREE PLANTATION DRIVEClass VII and IX participated in the tree plantation drive in Choling area of Karchham. The students were very excited digging pits and planting saplings. Let us Go green, as there is no other planet for living.

  3. LABOUR DAY-Labour day is a celebration of labourers and working class. J.V.M. Sholtu also honours the labour movements and the contribution the workers have made to strengthen the well being of the school. Students thanked the helping staff for their work and efforts.DRUG AWARENESS-Chowki In-charge of Tapri had a talk with students about the use and ill- effects of drugs and alcohol. The negative consequences of alcohol affects not only individual but also their families. Students being the future builders and citizens of kinnaur were motivated and educated against the use of drugs and alcohol.

  4. UPROOTING THE CANNABIS-Students of class VII and Class X along with their teachers also joined in clearingthe Cannabis plants along the tracks of mountains. This campaign of removing the Cannabis plants was done under the supervision of C.S.R. officers. CLASS 10th RESULT-Hard work is the key to success and our students of class 10th has brought laurels by their efforts.Master Aman Singh topped the school with 94.86%, Harsha with 94.29% stood second and AbhishekSarswat stood third with 93.57%.. Top four positions at District Kinnaur belongs to JVM Sholtu.

  5. INVESTITURE CEREMONY-J.V.M. Sholtu held the formal ceremony of conferring responsibility to office bearers on 20th May in the assembly ground with great enthusiasm. The school manager ShriSanjeevMahajan conferred badges and sashes to head boy and head girl , captains and vice captains of the four houses. The oath was administered to the newly elected council.

The newly elected school council is -School Captain (Girl)– DeepikavermaSchool Captain (Boy)– NitishHouse Captain (Satluj) – AbhishekSaraswatVice Captain( Satluj) – ShashankShekharHouse Captain (Chenab) – RohitNegiVice Captain( Chenab) – NanditaHouse Captain (Narmada) – PragatiVice Captain( Narmada) - PratibhaHouse Captain (Baspa) – Aryan SinghVice Captain( Baspa) – PriyankaFRUIT DAY-13th of May was a thought provoking and extravaganza for our pre-primary kids as they celebrated “Fruit Day”. The tiny tots interacted and learnt from nature by identifying the different fruits and their uses. Delicious fruit salad was also served to the kids.

  7. MOTHERS’ DAY- Essay writing and card making competitions for classes III to XII were held in J.V.M. Sholtu on 20th May celebrating Mother’s Day. The children honoured their mothers by making beautiful cards and participating in essay writing competition. Well said,” The loveliest masterpiece of the heart of God is the heart of a mother”.INSPECTION BY J.S.W. FOUNDATION-Ms. SampadaPulsule visited J.V.M. Sholtu from 9th to 12th May. She did an exhaustive review of the school. She observed the infrastructure and the economic, social and technological aspects of J.V.M. in the remote area of Kinnaur. She interacted with the teachers and emphasized on providing a quality education that meets the demands of a constantly changing environment.

  8. NO TOBACOO DAY- No tobacco day is observed on 31st May every year, intending to encourage abstinence from all forms of tobacco consumption. Our students of class VI to VIII presented a One Act Play on this theme in the school. They also joined in an awareness campaign by presenting street play at Tapri bus stand and also organized an awareness rally to draw public attention to the wide spread prevalence of tobacco and its negative health effects.

  9. COUNSELING ON ADOLESENT PSYCHOLOGY AND PERSONAL HYGIENE- Adolescent counseling helps children or young people explore their concerns that cause problems in social, emotional development.Teachers of J.V.M. facilitated the free expression of feelings. Students were supported to develop awareness to deal with social situation, peer group pressure and family stress. MAHARANA PRATAP JAYANTI-MaharanaPratapJayanti was observed in the school. A speech was delivered by the student featuring the life of RanaPratap, full of valour and bravery.
