What is a Coral Reef • The coral reef develops in shallow, warm water usually near land, and mostly in tropics; coral prefers temperatures between 70-85 degrees.
What coral eats • Some corals eat zooplankton (tiny drifting animals) or small fishes. Others consume organic debris. Many reef building corals.
