Common Characteristics • Every major religion in the world supports non- violence. • All advocate the use of non compliance as a means of protest through boycotts, refusing to complete actions, and through the voice • Doing nothing for an issue is the same as being against the issue • All were willing to be imprisoned or tortured • Do not be violent when angry about an issue • Use Non-Violence for persuasion about an issue • Non-violence and love is more powerful than violence
