IEEE P1363 Working Group for Standards in Public Key Cryptography • Chair, William Whyte • Meeting Thursday pm, Friday am in University Center • Ongoing Activities: • 1363-2000: Standard issued 2000, reissuing and revision process starts this year, contains techniques like MQV that are the subject of ongoing research. • 1363.1: Lattice based cryptography. NTRUEncrypt, NTRUSign • 1363.2: Password-based cryptography. Similar to ISO/IEC FCD 11770-4. Expecting to go to ballot this fall. If you're an IEEE-SA member, consider signing up for ballot body. • 1363.3: Pairing-based cryptography. Just started. First work on thestandard will be at the meeting this week. • Potential work on standardizing Imaginary Quadratic cryptography
