NOAA Partnership Policy Timeline and Update 2009 – Partnership policy in place 5 years – review required 2007 (Aug) – Meeting of the SAB Working Group to Examine Advisory Options for Improving Communications Among NOAA's Partners 2006 (July) - The SAB recommended an ad hoc working group to examine/recommend advisory options for improving communications among public/private/academic entities 2006 (Apr) – NEC requested Science Advisory Board (SAB) advice on Fair Weather Recommendation #2 2006 (Jan) – Clarification adopted 2005 (Aug-Nov) – Clarification proposed and comments received 2005 (Jun) – NWS policy implements partnership policy 2004 (Dec) – NOAA partnership policy issued 2004 (Jan) – NOAA partnership policy proposed/comments received 2003 (Jan) – “Fair Weather” published Jennifer Sprague

Notification of Proposed NWS Information Service Changes • At Jan Partners meeting, partners requested email notification of updates to NWS Database of Changes to NWS Information Services. • Decided to notify using Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feed to avoid overhead and privacy issues associated with maintaining email address lists. • RSS feed has been active since mid-April (April 19 PNS).  • Subscribe at http://www.weather.gov/infoservicechanges/ Jennifer Sprague
