ANTICIPATED USE OF BOND FUNDS • TECHNOLOGY IMPROVEMENTS ($3,519,500) • 1:1 Initiative - BISD will provide opportunities to place technology in the hands of every student, every day, in all content areas. • Baseline technology – SmartBoards (interactive white board) in every classroom with sound, projectors, calculators for math, computers (either desktop or laptop) to accommodate remediation, enhancement and testing. • Educational Software to support learning • Monitors in commons areas used for communication • HS Auditorium projection screen with projector

ANTICIPATED USE OF BOND FUNDS • SECURITY IMPROVEMENTS ($590,000) • Fence around west side of Middle School and Elementary and Kindergarten playgrounds • Install camera systems at the Middle School and Elementary School • Install security system at all entrances on all three campuses • Install new intercom system at the Middle School and Elementary School

ANTICIPATED USE OF BOND FUNDS • PURCHASE OF SCHOOL BUSES ($783,000) • Approximately nine (9) new school buses (two per year for the next 5 years) • BUS PARKING PORTS ($67,000) • Install covered parking ports for buses to preserve the life of the buses • ELECTRICITY TO BUS PARKING AREA ($20,000) • For security (lighting) and heating bus engines

ANTICIPATED USE OF BOND FUNDS • TRANSPORTATION ($320,500) • New Ag vehicle (which will be used to haul the Band trailer) • 2 District vehicles • Band Trailer, Utility Trailer • Tractor (Bobcat) to clean out stalls • ELEMENTARY PLAYGROUND ($200,000) • For safety, a new playground needs to be installed– location yet to be determined

  8. ANTICIPATED USE OF BOND FUNDS • HVAC REPLACEMENTS ($300,000) Life expectancy is 15-20 years • Elem. School – 13 units (17 years old), 15 units (15 years old) • Middle School – 12 units (17 years old), 4 units (13 years old) • MIDDLE SCHOOL ROOF ($600,000) • Sections of the Middle School roof (tar and gravel) need to be replaced due to leaking

ANTICIPATED USE OF BOND FUNDS • CURB REPAVING & GUTTER ($1,000,000) • Repave (or concrete) driveways at High School • Curb and gutter at High School • Expand parking at High School • Repair road around Middle School • New road construction to ease traffic congestion at the Elementary and Middle schools

ANTICIPATED USE OF BOND FUNDS • CAPITAL EXPENDITURES AND IMPROVEMENTS ($1,100,000) • Ag Facility for cleaning and grooming stock show animals • Unforeseen technology needs • Equipment such as fork-lift and other mechanical equipment • Building upgrades and improvements • Restructuring roof support for new air-conditioners • Miscellaneous
