  3. What is NTHS?? • NTHS is an Honor Society for Career & Technical Education Students • NTHS recognizes & honors students who excel in their career field & acts as a service organization in our community

  4. You should… • Be a Junior or Senior • Have and maintain a 3.0 • Have the intent to take 3 Career Tech classes in one pathway • Have an 85% or higher in CTE courses

  5. What you get…. • Looks good on resumes and college applications • Recognition for your achievement • Honors Cord for graduation • Official diploma seal • Can earn Pathway diploma seal or medallion • Car decal, pin, and membership certificate

  6. Get Recognized for more at Graduation… • Seal of Completion: • Complete a pathway and End of Pathway Assessment • Seal of Distinction: • Complete a pathway and End of Pathway Assessment, participate in your CTSO, GPA of 3.0, Complete an internship or project with your program area • Medallion: • Complete a pathway and End of Pathway Assessment, participate in your CTSO, GPA of 3.0, complete 2 foreign language and 2 AP courses, member of NTHS, and complete an internship or project with your program area

Requirements: You MUST… • Dress for Success any 3 Tuesday’s a semester • DRESS PROFESSIONALLY • Guys: Dress Shoes, Socks, Slacks, shirt, and tie • Girls: appropriate length dress/skirt, dress top, dress pants, dress shoes • WORN ALL DAY! • Checked off by Ms. Toothill ONLY! • You must come that day during lunch • Attend Chapter Meetings • Complete service credits

  14. Service Credits and Tracker • You must have 4 service credits per semester with your CTSO! (DECA, HOSA, TSA, SkillsUSA, FBLA, FCCLA) • You will receive a service credit tracker at this meeting!! • Get your advisor or person who is in charge of the service activity to sign off at the event—NOT a week later • LOST TRACKERS WILL NOT BE REPLACED!

How to find Service Credits • On the back of your tracker • Join the Remind 101 Group • Text @mstoothi to (754)227-2351 • Ask your CTSO Advisor • Ask a NTHS Officer • Check the NTHS Website • Will have a list of opportunities for each program area • FB/Twitter/GroupMe run by NTHS Officers –per program area

  16. Important Dates to Remember! • December 13th: NTHS Chapter Meeting – service trackers are due! • Pick up Spring Tracker • April 8 6:30PM: Induction Ceremony • FOR ALL MEMBERS • Pick up your tracker from your area officer at the stage “Success favors the prepared mind”
