  3. Education/Training • Bachelors Degree • Try to major in science and math • classes in education and child philosophy • masters degree • student teaching

  4. Salary Teachers mostly get up to $40,000 – $50,000 a year

  5. Attributes & Abilities - work well with children • Explain things clearly • Patience • creativity • Communication skills • Instruction skills • Active listening

  6. Job Outlook Teachers ecspally kindergarten and elementary teachers are expected to grow by 17% from 2010-2020.

  7. Duties of a kindergarten teacher Teachers do a lot of things. People think it is just standing in front of a class and teaching but it is a lot more than that. Hear is just some of what they do.

  8. Duties • Teachers have to sit and plan lessons • They have to assess students to show and learn their abilities • Teach students as a class a or in small groups to help them understand

  9. Duties 4. They have to go home and grade their students paper 5. Communicate with students parent to give them a better understanding on what their kids are learning. 6. Lastly they work with individual students to help them get over their weaknesses
