  1. Martin Luther King Jr. Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia

  2. Childhood Young Martin liked to play baseball , football and basketball. He liked to ride his bike and to sing. He often sang at his father’s church. When Martin was young and he was playing in his yard with his friends when he was told by his one of his friends that he would not be his friend anymore because he was black an he was white.

  3. Accomplishments Martin gave the “I Have A Dream” speech. If he did not give that speech back then, black people would not go to the same place as the white people.

  4. Cool Facts . One night when Martin was at a meeting someone threw a bomb in his house. In 1954 Martin was selected as a pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Alabama. In 1963 Dr. King led the biggest march of all , the March on Washington. The next year in 1964 Martin was awarded one of the most greatest honors any person can get, the Nobel PeacePrize.

  5. Quote “I have a dream that my four little children will live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of there skin , but by the content of their character”.

  6. Death, inspires us On April 4, 1968, a man killed martin outside his motel room. James Earl Ray killed Martin. Martin Luther inspires us today because he helped change the laws so black and white people can come together.
