HI Numeracy work

This term, our students have been learning various math skills, including timetables, shape properties, counting, ordering numbers, addition, and measurement. They have been actively engaged in hands-on activities, such as making patterns with shapes and counters, building 3D shapes, creating a tower using a timer, and measuring objects using scales and rulers. The students have also been practicing personal and social skills by taking turns in math games.

  1. HI Numeracy work

  2. Mounip has been learning is timetables verbally and visually.

  3. Kristian has been learning variety of maths skills independently.

  4. Jasmine has been learning her shape properties and describing shapes. Jasmine has been focusing on her maths skills by making patterns using shapes and counters.

  5. We have been learning more about 3d shapes and their names. We made a 3d shape each and counted how many faces.

  6. We looked at different recycling cartons and identified 3d shapes and made models of our choice. We also made a tower using a timer to learn our time skills. We set our timer for 60 seconds and built our tower. When the timer stop we took turns to count how many shapes we had used and recorded on our chart.

  7. This term we have been learning about measure. We have practising new vocabulary to expand on our math skills and explore our classroom of different objects to measure and record ourselves using cm.

  8. Tilly has been learning to • sort shapes • learn their names • How many corners Tilly has been learning how to order numbers to 20 and count forward and back.

  9. Addition skills Counting in 2s Number bonds Ruby has been using her maths skills to explore different activities. Doubles

  10. Mounip has been learning how to measure using scales and rulers. Mounip made us all some biscuits by remembering his instructions and measuring skills.

  11. We have been using our personal and social skills in our maths to take turns in our maths games.
