  2. What if your parents could unwind YOU?What would you do?

  3. “The Second Civil War was fought over reproductive rights. The chilling resolution: Life is inviolable from the moment of conception until age thirteen. Between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, however, parents can have their child “unwound” whereby all of the child’s organs are transplanted into different donors, so life doesn’t technically end. Connor is too difficult for his parents to control. Risa, a ward of the state, is not talented enough to be kept alive. And Lev is a tithe, a child conceived and raised to be unwound. Together, they may have a chance to escape—and to survive.” –Neal Shusterman (located on the back cover of the book)

  4. Reviews • “Characters live and breathe; they are fully realized and complex, sometimes making wrenchingly difficult questions. This is a thought provoking, well-paced read that will appeal widely.” –School Library Journal, starred review • [A] gripping, brilliantly imagined futuristic thriller…could hardly be more engrossing or better aimed to teens.” –Publishers Weekly, starred review • [A] nail-biting, character-driven thriller.” –Horn Book magazine

  5. My Review This book is well thought-out. It has a lot of dramatic and action-filled parts. I strongly recommend this book to teenagers and even adults. This book was great.
