Using power consumption Calculator you can easily calculate the power consumption of your household device. This will help you to save electricity consumption. Follow the below step for calculating the power consumption of you device Step 1. Select a device from the appliance list as shown in figure (for example I have selected Micro Oven see below image) Step 2. Enter the wattage of your device, you can find this wattage on the device on the bottom or back or in the device manual (we have taken average wattage but you can change it). Step 3. Enter Hours of use per day of your appliance Step 4. Now click on the calculate button you will get Energy consumed per/day/month/year.

Watts (wattage of the device) ÷1000 = kW x hours of operation (hour of use) = kWh x kWh rate (electricity unit rate in your country) = cost 800÷1000=.8 kW*2 hour per day=1.6 kWh*$.10(let’s take unit rate is .10 cent) =$.16 Power consumption per/day=1.6 kWh Power consumption per/month=1.6*30=48 kWh Power consumption per/year=1.6*365=584 kWh Electricity cost per/day=$.16 Electricity cost per/month=.16*30=$4.8 Electricity cost per/year=.16*365=$58.6 If you want to know how much energy an electronic device is consuming, you can use electricity usage Monitor device. You just need to connect your device into the electricity usage monitor and then connect it into a wall outlet. Electricity usage Monitor also known as power meter. Using power meter tool you can get the exact information about a the device, such as the voltage, frequency, watts, amps, kilowatt hours (kWh)
