  16. If you enter more than one search term, join them with these words.

  17. A AND B A OR B A NOT B This is what happens when you use NOT. You get fewer results. This is what happens when you use AND. You get fewer results. This is what happens when you use OR. You get more results.

  18. Choose your Location. Choose what kind of item (Material Type) you would like : Book, E-Book, Graded Reader DVD etc.

  19. You can choose English or Arabic language, the Publisher and the Year. You can also sort by relevance (relatedness), date or title in alphabetical order.

  20. An example : You need some books to practice listening for an English exam. 1.Type : listening AND English. 2. Choose location. 3. From Material Type, choose Books.

  21. For some books, you can “look inside” and preview some pages. Click on Google Books.

  22. You can also read reviews of a book and even write your own review and post it. Click on Book Reviews.

  23. Another great feature is Expand your search. Open the tab below the book record. This links your search term to HCT Databases. It will save a lot of time if you need articles.

  24. If you did not find anything from your college library, search the Entire Collection (all HCT Libraries). Books from other HCT libraries can be sent to your college. Click Request.

  25. If you did not find anything from the Search HCT tab, try the Search LIWA tab. LIWA lets you search the libraries of Zayed University & UAE University in Al Ain.

  26. Click : Request this item and follow the instructions.

  27. Ask your teacher or your friendly librarian if you have any questions. I hope this helps you find the things you need from the Library Catalogue.
