  2. CORRSEPONDING ANGLES POSTULATE • If a transversal intersects two parallel lines, then corresponding angles are congruent.

  3. THEOREM 2-4 • All right angles are congruent.

  4. THEOREM 10-11 • (Area of a circle) • The are of a circle is the product of π and the square of the radius. • A=πr^2 r

  5. TRIANGLE • Three sided figure whose angles add to be 180.

  6. ISOSCELES TRAPEZOID • Quadrilateral with one pair of parallel sides whose legs are congruent.

  7. CIRCLE • Set of all points in a plane that are a given distance, the radius, from a given point, the center.

  8. CONE • 3D figure with a circular base, a vertex not in the plane of the surface, and a curved lateral surface.

  9. CYLINDER • 3D figure with two congruent circular bases that lie in similar planes.

  10. SUPPLEMENTARY ANGLES • Pairs of angles that add to equal 180 degrees.

  11. REFLECTION • When a shape is flipped across a line and faces the opposite direction

  12. ALTITUDE OF A TRIANGLE • Perpendicular segment from a vertex to the line containing the side opposite that vertex.

  13. TRANSLATION • Transformation that moves points the same distance and in the same direction.

  14. CENTROID OF A TRIANGLE • The point of intersection of the medians of the triangle.

  15. OBTUSE ANGLE • Angle whose measure is more than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees.

  16. RADIUS • Any segment with one endpoint on the circle and the other endpoint at the center of the circle.

  17. SKEW LINES • Lines that do not lie on the same plane and will never intersect.

  18. INDIRECT MEASUREMENT • Way of measuring things that are difficult to measure directly by measuring the distances shown and using proportions of similar figures you can find measurements.

  19. VERTICAL ANGLES • Two angles whose sides form opposite rays. Vertical angles congruent.
