  3. AccelTest VS 2Know! Toolbar • Collects student data • Setup : • Classes • Student login info • Tests & answer keys • Grades tests • Can be used with existing tests (just need to make score key) • Test results must be manually entered into RDS On the fly No prep No student data collected Check understanding Encourage interaction

  4. Initial Setup 1 Connect Receiver to USB  Rename Receiver: Why? This lets the students know which session to join. It is done only one time upon initial use. START > All Programs > Renaissance Wireless Server Click “Renaissance Wireless Server Utility” Enter password “1234” Click on “Server Settings” Tab Change “Network Name” to your name Click “Update Settings” and close

  5. Initial Setup 2 Double-click “AccelTest” software icon Enter password “admin” Setup – directions on handout: School Year – 1 term Grading Scale – Use LCSC’s current scale Adding Classes & Students (Ren. Learning) Creating Assignments/Tests

  6. All use RespondersAll made in AccelTest 4 Types of Tests: Student Paced: 1. Score Key – use with external test (tests already created) Just answers (like scantron) - external questions Teacher Paced: PowerPoint & Brain Pop (projected) Student Paced: Existing tests, questions from book, etc. 2. Responder – questions on responder screens 3. Printed – Paper copy printed out for students to use Teacher Paced: 4. Projected – Questions on projector screen

  7. Display Screen Select Button Scrolling Arrows Menu – returns to menu For T/F, Y/N or Pulse Multiple Choice buttons Enter – sends answers Clear - deletes For Numeric & Short Answer Questions On/Off

  8. Texting Short Answers • Clear – deletes • Select – space • First space – gives capital letters first • All other spaces – gives lower case first
