Salvation through Jesus planned from eternity (2 Tim. 1:8-11). D. The church has the same mission Christ does (Luke 19:10; 1 Tim. 3:14-15). A = B = C= D

  3. The Work Of The Church: Evangelism II. LOCAL CHURCH ONLY REVEALED ORGANIZATION FOR EVANGELISM. A. One local church did much (1 Thess. 1:3-8)! B. Philippi is also an example (Phil. 1:3-5; 2:25-30; 4:14-20; 2 Cor. 11:8-9). C. No command, example or necessary inference of brethren or churches giving THROUGH human institutions or another church! Shall We Follow What Is Revealed? Or Invent Our Own Way?

  5. The Work Of The Church: Evangelism IV. EACH CONGREGATION DID SAME KIND OF WORK IN SAME WAY A. Paul taught same everywhere (1 Cor. 4:16-17). B. “So ordain I in all the churches (1 Cor. 7:17). C. “As I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.” (1 Cor. 16:1) D. Congregational Evangelism did not rule out individual evangelism (Acts 5:42; 8:1-4; 11:19-20). Is This How It Works Today? If Not, Why Not?

  6. The Work Of The Church: Evangelism V. THE CHURCH DOES RULE OUT ANY OTHER EVANGELISM ORGANIZATION A. Church planned by God to manifest His wisdom (Eph. 3:8-11). B. Any substitute / additional organization would glorify man, not God (Eph. 3:21). “For we are not as the many, making merchandise of the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, speak we in Christ.” (2 Cor. 2:17)
