  4. Our History North West Career Center- 1999 • Program Begins • Students • Instructors • All equipment belonged to NWCC • All classes held at NWCC • Summer quarter only

  5. 2002- Search for a New Home • Hiring of additional Instructors • 20 Students • 12 Instructors + 4 Assistants • New CSCC Fire Equipment was purchased • Classes now held on NW Campus, WFD, WTFD and The OFA

  6. 2004- Improving Class • Class growing in popularity (classes fill in 2 days) • Purchased a CSCC fire engine • 12 Instructors + 4 Assistants • 20 Students • Classes now held on NW Campus, WFD, WTFD and The OFA

  7. 2006- Our own “Fire House” 939 Goodale Blvd.(ETC) • Moved into our own new facility • Classroom and Lab provide need teaching area • Instructors increased to 22 • Class size increased to 24 Students • SCBA Confidence Maze built • 100 MSA SCBA’s from Columbus Fire (Students on air more) • Curriculum is improved, test scores increased

Today • Program is gaining an excellent reputation in the fire community in Ohio. • Professional fire fighters now asking for more training. • First generations of students now full time on fire departments. • Purchase of an air compressor to extend training time • 30 New SCBA • Students are now better trained than ever before to meet the demands of today's fire service • Surrounding fire departments now wanting to train at our facility with our instructors
