  2. Setting • The setting is a few months after Katniss and Peeta win the Hunger games by proving they were in love to the capitol. Katniss and Peeta stop by each district where every child that died in the games lived. When they leave they go back to the capitol. The setting is important to the story because the capitol is where the games lives. If the setting were different Katniss and Peeta would have never been dragged in the games.

  3. Characters

  4. Conflict • Katniss and Peeta are dragged back into the arena for the 75th annual Hunger Games by President Snow. The only way to survive is to count on each other once again to defeat other victors from the past games.

  5. Summary of Plot • Months after Katniss and Peeta win the games they are still pretending to be in love. As time flies by the 75th annual Hunger Games rolls around. For it to be special President Snow chooses victors from the past once more. Knowing this time only one person live ,Katniss and Peeta work together hoping for another miracle.

  6. Theme • A thriller that will leave you amazed. • The arena is a clock. Each hour has a different attack on the victors. • There are many problems where they have to decide to help each other or not. • There are times in the book where you want to see what happens next.

  7. Point of View • The point of view is first person because it shows everything through Katniss’s eyes. If the view were different so would the story. If I were watching through Peeta’s eyes there wouldn’t be much excitement and Katniss is the main character anyway.

  8. Symbolism • The mockingjay was given to Katniss before she was put into the 74th Hunger Games. The mockingjay had been a symbol of Katniss without her knowing. There had been uprisings in other districts and Katniss met Bonnie and Twill. They had brought Katniss a peace of bread that had her mockingjay on it. Later in time she understands what she is to others. She is the mockingjay.

  9. Recommendation • I recommend that everybody reads this book because it’s so amazing. Every chapter in this book makes you want to keep reading until your done. This book has so many conflicts and it makes you want to see how they get pass them.
