  1. 1.st South East Environment Workshop 29-30 September 2011. Belgrade, Serbia IT support in Department for Energy Efficiency Mr. Saša Živković, B.Sc.Eng. Head of Department for Energy Efficiency

  2. EBRD – JSC “Serbian Railways“ - D’Appolonia S.p.A – EMIS By analyzing the difference between the current practice of Serbian Railways and energy management best practices recognized by defining the parameters and indicators of EMIS, with respect to railway standards and regulations, we expect that, in cooperation with a team that was formed on behalf of AD “Železnice Srbije” at least three levels of EMIS implementation are defined:

  3. 1st Using the current system for resource use monitoring and otheroperating parameters. The information is integrated in a centralized control platform that is based on the Internet (expandable). Defining operational protocols.2nd Expansion of EMIS, to include monitoring of all plannedparameters / indicators and full integration into the control system developed by extendingLevel 13rd Development of interface with other management systems in Serbian Railways and preparing logical loop to interact with operating systems (e.g. red drive).

  4. STRATEGIES OF POSSIBLE SAVINGS Energy Information Management System A C T I O N Planning methods and types of data collection INFRASTRUCTURE HAULING TRAINS SECONDARY CONSUMPTION Determination responsible for submitting data Modernization of plant and equipment Transport Economics Energy Audit for administrative and station buildings, workshops, depots, storages and other buildings Measuring and recording Maintenance and training Regenerative braking Data delivery Eco - driving Intervention on undercarriage Monitoring, control and analysis Active traffic management Achieving design speeds on major routes Energy Audit Timetable Construction of second track for all main railway line (Corridor X) The introduction of LED technology for indoor and outdoor lighting Taking measures to improve energy efficiency Load factor and flexible trains Acquisition (buying) of new locomotives and rolling stock Improving the thermal insulation of buildings The transition from decentralized units to centralized systems for cooling and heating (if it is possible to use natural gas) Maintenance and training - Reducing the weight of train- aerodynamic- utilization of space- thermal insulation- revision of consumption for comfort Using solar panels to produce hot water Installation of photocells for station and platform lighting

  5. 1st South East Environment Workshop 29-30 September 2011. Belgrade, Serbia IT support in Department for Environmental Protection Mr. Zlatko Draško, M Sc. Env.Eng. Head of Department for Environmental Protection

  6. The Department is currently collecting the data about the waste which is generated in Serbian Railways. • The data which are collected are: • Types and classification of waste(the location of generating, name, characteristics, category of waste...), • Quantities of waste, • Method of waste management.

  7. The data are used for Annual Report on Waste(GIO1) which is, in accordance with Law on Waste Management („Official Gazette “ no.36/09 i 88/10) delivered to the Environmental Protection Agency.

  8. Using of Informational Technologies (IT) would enable faster access to the information about waste in every moment, which would be used for: • Legal Forms (daily records on waste DEO1, annual report on waste GIO1, document on waste flows...), • Control of waste flows(secondary raw materials, dangerous waste...).

  9. 1. Belgrade Node 2. Niš Node 3. Kraljevo Node 4. Zaječar Node 5. Požarevac Node 6. Lapovo Node 7. Užice Node 8. Novi Sad Node 9. Subotica Node 10. Zrenjanin Node 11. Ruma Node 12. Pančevo Node 13. Kosovo Polje Node

  10. LEGEND Node Station Line number according to the Regulations No 325 Tunnel

  11. For introduction and using of Information Technologies (IT) it is necessary : • Investment in equipment and adequate software, • Employee education.
