  2. Your job is to make your business successful. Sometimes you have some very tough decisions to make. You need to fire employees who are not carrying their weight. You’re the boss!

  3. Mr. Takit is a hard worker. He comes to work early and leaves late, but you find out that he has been stealing from the company. What do you do? Fire him Talk to him

  4. “You’re fired!” Good choice! You do not want to keep a thief around. That would definitely cut into your profits.

  5. You give Mr. Takit another chance. You wonder if you made the right decision. Mr. Takit feels really bad. He feels bad that he got caught. He was making a lot of extra money selling his stolen items.

  6. Weeks later you notice that your business is losing money and you will have to lay off some employees. You wonder what Mr. Takit is carrying in his backpack.

  7. A situation has come up. Two workers are fighting. They have never cooperated with others since they started. What do you do? Talk to them. Fire them both.

  8. “You’re fired!” Good choice! You should not have to deal with workers fighting. It is a safety issue and could cost your company money for insurance and workmen’s comp.

  9. You decide to keep the men, but wonder if you made the right decision. The two men look like they will continue not getting along with each other.

  10. You notice that your insurance costs have gone up due to injuries of employees at work.

  11. Mr. Hothead loses his temper easily and takes it out on whatever is around him. You walked in on him when he was hitting his computer because the program crashed. He is not respectful of the property. What do you do? Talk to him. Fire him.

  12. You decide to fire him. Good choice! Mr. Hothead’s disrespect for property can cost you a lot of money “You’re fired!”

  13. You decide to keep Bosley, but wonder if you made the right decision. Bosley has cost the business a lot of money repairing and replacing broken items caused by his temper tantrums. Talk to him.

  14. You get a phone call from a customer complaining that one of the employees was using very bad language. She said that she would never do business with your company again. Except for Mr. Pottymouth’s bad language, he is a good employee. What do you do? Talk to him. Fire him.

  15. Good choice! After all, you have already lost one customer. He has no respect for others using bad language around others. You do not want to lose any more. “You’re fired!”

  16. You talk to Mr. Pottymouth. He says that he will try to watch his bad language. You wonder if you made the right decision. Bad habits are hard to break.

  17. You ask Ms Meme to do the Friday report. She whines, “Why do I have to do it? I did it last week.” You repeat that you would like her to do it, but she whines again that she does not want to do it again. Except for her arguing all of the time, she is a good employee. What do you do? Talk to her. Fire her.

  18. Good choice! Why should you have to put up with a disrespectful employee? “You’re fired!”

  19. You decide to keep her even though she is disrespectful because she is a good worker. You wonder if you made the right decision. You notice that your ulcers have been getting worse.

  20. Mr. Messer turns in a report that looked like his dog chewed on it. It was all wrinkled and had the corner ripped off. He always comes to work on time and is there every day, but the quality of his work is very inferior. What do you do? Talk to him. Fire him.

  21. “You’re fired!” Good choice! An employee should always show best effort. You know that your customers only want quality.

  22. You decide to keep him even though his work is poor quality and he does not show best effort. You notice that your profits are decreasing. Customers are taking their work to other businesses. You wonder if you made the right decision.

  23. You ask Mr. Later for the report needed for the taxes. Mr. Later replies, “Yea, I didn’t get it done. I can get it for you next week.” He never seems to be on task when you walk by his desk. This report was important and had a deadline. What do you do? Talk to him. Fire him.

  24. “You’re fired!” Good choice! You have a business to run and need employees who can organize their time.

  25. You decide to keep him although he does not organize his time and complete his work. Your taxes were turned in late and you had to pay a fine. You wonder if you made the right decision.

  26. Mr. Wairzit is very disorganized. You ask him for his report and he replies, “I did it, but I can’t find it.” He also missed two meeting last week because he forgot about them. He is a nice guy, but very disorganized.” What do you do? Talk to him. Fire him.

  27. “You’re fired!” Good choice! You have a business to run and need employees who are organized.

  28. You decide to keep him although he is very disorganized. You decide to hire a secretary for him, but his cuts into your profit. You wonder if you made the right decision.

  29. You organize a committee to make some business decisions. Ms Meonly shouts out, “I’m not working with them,” and refuses to work in a group. The work that she does on her own is fine, but you need employees who can work cooperatively. What do you do? Talk to her. Fire her.

  30. “You’re fired!” Good choice! You have a business to run and need employees who work cooperatively.

  31. You decide to keep him although he is very uncooperative. You wonder if you made the right decision.

  32. You organize a committee to make some business decisions. Rudy won’t listen to other’s ideas. He shouts out, “That’s stupid,” whenever someone has a different opinion. You need employees who can work cooperatively. What do you do? Talk to him. Fire him.

  33. “You’re fired!” Good choice! You have a business to run and need employees who work cooperatively.

  34. You decide to keep him although he is very uncooperative. You wonder if you made the right decision.

  35. Ms. Argualot argues with customers all of the time. Customer are going elsewhere. You need kind employees. What do you do? Talk to her. Fire her.

  36. “You’re fired!” Good choice! You have a business to run and need employees who are kind.

  37. You decide to keep her, but move her to the stock room where she does not have contact with customers. Kindness counts when it comes to customer service.

  38. You have had to make some very tough decisions. After all, you have a business to run. Your job is to make your business successful.

  39. You need to fire employees if they are not committed to quality work respectful responsible works safely and kind to others.

  40. You’re the boss!
