Creation of IHIGG… The scope of the Independent Healthcare Information Governance Group (IHIGG) is to create an effective network of Information Governance (IG) professionals working in the independent healthcare sector. When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed Promotion and facilitation of good IG practice through peer support and advice to colleagues in other organisations Implications and application of IG-related legislation Requirements for awareness, education, and training to promote the importance of IG Need to make representations to regional and national bodies on IG issues Need to feed local independent experiences to national bodies to inform the national agenda
