  16. What you can do • Keep PC in a visible, open area • No PC w/Internet in a child’s bedroom • Communicate – bridge Digital Divide • Learn all you can about the Internet • Talk about dangers • Review computer files, history, Temporary Internet files folder

  17. Tips • Google your child’s name, e-mail address, screen name • Check out yoname.com • Set up a Google Alert • Come up with an agreed upon answer for possible probing questions. • Ex. Where do you live? – NY (nothing more)
