Introduction • The official road map of Ontario has been produced by the Ministry of Transportation in paper version since 1923. • This road map is two-sided; Southern Ontario on one side and Northern Ontario on the other side.
The Legend The legend has 4 sections 1. Road classifications. E.g. Major roads 2. Settlements by populations. E.g. Over 100 000 3. Administrative. E.g. International boundary 4. Travel and tourism. E.g. Travel Information
Settlement Index • There is a settlement index on each side of the map – one for the southern Ontario and one for northern Ontario. • The settlement index lists the cities, towns and villages. • Beside each location is the alphanumeric reference - use this to find the location.
