  2. Next steps: • INTENT TO ENROLL & ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT • FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS • HOUSING PLANS • PLACEMENT EXAMS • ORIENTATION & REGISTRATION • FINAL TRANSCRIPTS

  3. INTENT TO ENROLL & ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT You must confirm your plans to enroll at CSU San Marcos by completing the Intent to Enroll online at MyCSUSM and submitting the Enrollment Deposit. The Intent to Enroll and deposit must be submitted by May 1, 2009. The $150 deposit will be applied to your fees for the first fall semester.

  4. Financial Aid and Scholarships We’re here to help you make your education an affordable reality. You may have already completed your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2009-2010. If not, the priority date to apply is March 2, 2009. Apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov and include our school code number (030113) so we can receive your information electronically. Also ensure your GPA information is submitted by your high school for a CalGrant!

  5. HOUSING PLANS If you are interested in living on campus, begin the process early. You can submit an application to live on-campus any time, but you cannot confirm your place until you submit the Intent to Enroll and Enrollment Deposit. If you do not plan to live on-campus, but are interested in living off-campus, Student Life & Leadership can assist you.

  6. PLACEMENT EXAMS All CSU campuses require new freshmen to take the English Placement Test (EPT) and the Entry Level mathematics Test (ELM) prior to enrollment unless you are exempt by scores earned on other appropriate tests (EAP/SAT/ACT/AP). Tests are scheduled at CSU San Marcos and at each CSU campus. You are encouraged to sign up for these exams as early as possible so your scores will be available when you attend orientation. For more information, visit www.ets.org/csu.

  7. Where is my class? Where is cougar Central? Orientation To welcome and orient you with CSU San Marcos, we hold orientation programs during the summer. Attendance at Orientation is mandatory. We’ll introduce you to the staff members who will support you throughout your academic career, and provide you with an opportunity to meet your future classmates and professors. You must submit your Intent to Enroll and deposit before registering for an orientation program. You will register for your fall semester during the orientation program.

  8. Final transcripts are due July 15, 2009. FINAL TRANSCRIPTS I wonder if I can blow off this class? Your offer of admission is provisional; you must keep your academic work strong.
