Application Process • Apply online at www.CSUMentor.edu October 1st through November 30th • Official SAT or ACT scores and application fee must be received by February 1st • Take ELM/EPT exams if required. Students are strongly encouraged to test early on CSU system wide dates of February 9th or March 16th • Deadline to take EPT/ELM: May 4th

You have been admitted! • ASAP Make a reservation for summer orientation after submitting Intent to Enroll • May 1 Last date to submit the Intent to Enroll & pay Enrollment Deposit ($150) • July 15Mandatory deadline to receive all final documents: - Official high school transcript with posted graduation - AP/IB Test Scores - If you have taken courses at a community college or university official transcript must be received as well Admissions offers will be rescinded for applicants failing to meet deadlines or admission criteria upon final review

  8. How do I check my status? • A user name and password will be sent via email • Students MUST visit MyCSUSM to check their “TO DO” list regularly • Our principle means of communication will be EMAIL • Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis

Local Admissions Area • Local Admission Area = North San Diego County, Southern Orange County and Southwestern Riverside County • Visit www.csusm.edu/admissions, select impaction information for a list of local admissions area school districts • Initial admission decisions based on CSU minimums: • A-G courses • GPA from 10th – 11th • Eligibility index (GPA + SAT or ACT)

Non-Local Admissions Area • Initial admission decisions based on CSU eligibility • A-G courses • GPA from 10th – 11th • Additional CSU impaction criteria will be utilized including higher admission eligibility criteria and potential wait list offers • Visit www.csusm.edu/admissions, select impaction information for further details • Mandatory: Must live on campus first year www.csusm.edu/housing

Impacted Programs • Selection of major does not impact the admission decision • Students are admitted in “pre-major” status • Separate screening criteria within each major are used to allow students to declare these majors after students have been admitted • Five Impacted majors: • Business Administration • Communication • Mass Media • Kinesiology • Nursing
