One snowy morning, I woke up to a serene white blanket outside our cozy cottage deep in the woods. My golden-haired granddaughter, Lilly, eagerly called for breakfast and proposed we build a snowman. We gathered supplies, but realized we were missing a crucial ingredient: carrots! Determined to find the perfect one, I ventured to the vegetable patch only to discover it was empty. A quick peek in the kitchen revealed a hidden stash. Excitedly, I returned to my snowman-building partner, Granddad, who was enjoying some iced tea with our melting friend.

Plop, plop, plop. I thought it was heavy rain. The next morning I woke up shivering to find a white blanket of snow outside the cozy cottage, deep in the woods.
Lilly my golden haired girl in a green t-shirt and skirt called “Nanny, breakfast time”. I quickly put on my pink and white slippers and scuttled down the stairs, like a crab.
“Granddad lets go and build a snowman”. “Sounds great!”. “So we need a hat, scarf, twigs, coal and carrots. Yes, yes, yes, yes, ohnowe don’t have carrots! I’ll go and get one from the best vegetable patch in the world.”
When I got there all the carrots gone? I stopped to think then peaked into the kitchen asI knew that Nanny collects carrots every dayand sure enough there they were.
I quietly chose the mostspectacular one and took it back to Granddad who was having a cup of iced tea with the no nosed snowman, who was melting faster than a popsicle in a frying pan!! By Ruby Blu
