Flight Procedures • Hula Dancer relies on IFF Mode II/III and C to monitor the position of aircraft operating within the RADAR Surveillance Area • Our radar presentation only displays IFF MODE III/C. Non-squawking aircraft will not be seen • During RIMPAC all aircraft on the highways shall be in direct communication with Hula Dancer • Aircrews are reminded that separation from aircraft is the responsibility of the aircrew within the RIMPAC JOA.

  16. Flight Procedures (cont.) While operating under Hula Dancer control, OPS Normal reports are required every hour (30 minutes for helos) Dispensed chaff shall be deployed in accordance with policy established by individual service directives

  21. Warning Area Departure Procedures Contact Hula Dancer at least 5 minutes prior to exiting assigned airspace HCF-initiated delays for aircraft RTB will be taken on the Highway. Aircraft can expect IFR handling when RTB through the Central Highway. Aircraft returning through the East and West Highways will be VFR until a handoff to HCF occurs. Emergency Fuel Aircraft may be diverted to an alternate airfield depending on HNL traffic

  22. Warning Area Ingress/ Egress Procedures All aircraft inbound to the RIMPAC JOA using the Central Highway SHALL be at an altitude of 160 as per Letter Of Agreement between HCF and FACSFAC Pearl Harbor (HULA DANCER). Once established on the Central Highway, aircraft will climb and be AOA FL200 by DEBRA fix. For Aircraft exiting via the Central Highway you SHALL transit the Highway at or below FL190 until DEBRA fix. At DEBRA you will descend to 120 for NGF or 060 for HCF.
