Current Status of AMS-02 Activities at CERN, Geneva (July 19-23, 2005)

This document presents an overview of the current status of activities related to the AMS-02 (Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer) project at CERN, Geneva, held from July 19 to 23, 2005. It details the participation of various organizations, including Bologna, and highlights the coordination by CGS. Options 1 and 2 were discarded for reasons of cost-effectiveness, leading to a trade-off analysis. Design optimization and cost evaluation of options 3 and 4 are currently in progress for final selection. This summary informs stakeholders about the ongoing developments.
